November 3, 2018 Roseville Community Day @ the Roseville Village Park
The activities began early for Roseville’s Community Day with the National Anthem being song by Rose Marie Tokie (Rhoades) and 30 vendors setting up to cook for the Chili Cook-off around 9:00 am. The chili cook-off winner was Amanda Torres whom was presented with a t-shirt and bragging right. The proceeds from the Cook-off went to the Roseville Community Day which raised $300. Some of the other attractions for the day included a Lemonade Contest which was won by Jarod Anders & Madelin Hollingshead, raffles, silent auction and a 50/50 drawing.
The Roseville Fire Department cooked their most popular dish – Fish and Chips and the new grocery store owners, Bob & Debbie Birkimer were present to promote “The Kiln” a new grocery store/market and eatery to open in late 2019 or early 2020. Many community churches, schools, local businesses, non-profit organizations and local vendors came together to celebrate the new improvements at the Roseville Park. We had entertainment by Ethan Timm, Marcus Barnhart-FreedomCRY Church, Darkstar, and ATMOS.
Over the past four years many improvements to the park have helped increase the park visitors. Some of the attractions include: skate park, multi-use trail, sensory hut, edible forest (orchard), living fence with grapes and berries and a new Splash pad. The Splash pad will open in the spring of 2019. The park has so many improvements you will have to visit several times to really enjoy all the new features.
