Roseville and Rose Hill Cemeteries
Ezekiel Rose, founder of the town, is buried in an unknown grave in Roseville Cemetery. A white stone in the lower left corner of soldier's section was placed there as a reminder of that.
The Village owns and operates 2 cemeteries. Roseville Cemetery is the oldest cemetery located inside the corporation on Cemetery Road. Burials started in the early 1800s and continues still to this day. No new graves are available to purchase at Roseville Cemetery but heirs transfer lots throughout the year. The newest and most active cemetery is Rose Hill Cemetery with its first burial in 1926. This cemetery is located just outside of town:6739 Rose Hill Road. Lots are available for purchase. The Village completes several burials per year at this cemetery. Both cemeteries operate under the same pricing and regulations.
Spring clean up: Everything must be off the grave by April 15th each year to prepare for spring clean up and the summer mowing season.
